A Site For Sore Eyes? Site Rubix Site Developer Says Goodbye to HTML

OK, try saying the title again fast five times...I knew you couldn't. Well, maybe you did. Congrats! For some , it's like trying to build a site as fast as you can so you could just focus on one thing - marketing. But we trip over the mess, trying to figure out html code, ftp file uploading, and design and layout. Just picking out the right web builder tool is a puzzle.

Internet marketers and savvy business owners always have relied upon creative ways to market themselves without having to spend the time creating a site. If you had the cash, chances are you'd fork it out to a web designer. I remember back in the days how much they would charge....no thanks.

Over the years it has become easier with software web developers and tools for building simple sites, such as Front Page or Dreamweaver.

Young Obama voters lead record Democratic turnout

Alexander Watts, 22, an assistant Web designer, put it more colorfully.

"I think maybe what we need is a crazy idealist," he said. "Obama possesses a passion that I have never possessed for a day in my life."

The Democrats' race, of course, is far from over. The Clintons have almost made a habit of eating humble pie for sustenance before coming back to prevail.

But the restoration met resistance in its first test, and, strikingly, Bill Clinton failed to close a sale on the campaign trail.

Rep. Jay Inslee, co-chairman of Clinton's Washington state campaign, was working in the university town of Iowa City, where the New York senator made a particularly weak showing. Inslee predicted a protracted state-by-state competition for the Democratic nomination.

Media Beat

The entrepreneur who finds a good Web designer on another continent really impresses me. Have I mentioned yet that the Internet really impresses me? It really does. Those who aren't suitably impressed will be left behind.

As a journalist who visits one country after another, I feel intoxicated by the Internet. And why shouldn't I be upbeat? I'm not one of the dead-end-job slaves who can look forward to mind-glazing drudgery in front of computer screens until I'm old and blind.

For me, and for investors and managers who take me around, what's not to like? Commerce is about selling things, providing services, expanding markets. All that is so good.

Let's face it - at this point I'm a rich guy, and I work for a newspaper run by guys who are even richer than I am. They're gaga about what we like to call globalization.
