MTV Networks said that its new video game Rock Game is flying off the shelves of retail outlets in its first week of sales. A spokesperson of MTV said that they are seeing a lot of action with the downloads at rockband.com as well. U men's basketball: Another rebuilding job for Miles

Before a typical college basketball season, most new coaches are forced to analyze their team's shortfalls and seek solutions. Tim Miles had to take that scenario to the extreme after becoming coach at Colorado State last March.

Three players quit after the coaching change, three were "removed" and another -- Philadelphia 76ers power forward Jason Smith -- went to the NBA, leaving Miles with only two Rams who played last season. This season, Miles is starting two walk-ons, one of whom survived a tryout session.

After three prior head coaching stints in three different divisions in a little more than a 10-year period, the Doland, S.D., native had to energize a Colorado State team that finished 6-10 in the Mountain West Conference last season. But before he could think about moving forward, he had to put together a roster and turn his youngsters into players.

The Skico view on the big issues

How does the Aspen Skiing Co. gauge its performance over the last decade? How does it view the coming season? Is its role as an environmental activist in the ski industry worth the criticism that comes with the territory?

David Perry, Skicos senior vice president-mountain division, provided answers to 10 questions posed by The Aspen Times in an e-mail interview to kick off the coming season. (He couldnt tell us when this balmy weather will give way to the white stuff.)

Perry is the Skicos second in command. One of the first actions taken by Skico President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Kaplan last November when he took the helm of the company was to promote Perry as his right-hand man.

Perry is in charge of all ski operations and also oversees marketing, sales, events, ticketing, guest services and public relations.
