Off The Beaten Path: Reptile Retailers
(CBS13) If you want a very exotic and different pet, you might want to check out a new store in Auburn. You might be surprised to find out what's for sale.A couple of guys in Auburn decided to gamble everything turning their hobby into their profession. Shawn Thomas likes lizards and turtles."They are an ambush predator and so they'll hang out in the moss and weeds and when a fish goes by, they'll snatch him," said Shawn. But Shawn's business partner Robert Bissell likes snakes."These are ball pythons. They are locally bred and for $49.95 per snake they are a very popular snake, they don't get very large."Robert and Shawn just opened this exotic reptile shop and already they have one of the state's largest displays of colorful and bizarre creatures like hissing cockroaches from Madagascar or baby green anacondas which will grow to be one of the largest snakes in the world.
Firefighters help look after children
Texas-side children were given a separate Shop with a Cop shopping spree Tuesday morning at the Walmart on State Line Avenue. Every child got an official, either a police officer or firefighter, said Texarkana, Texas, Sgt. Shawn Fitzgerald between the teaming isles of toys, chattering children, police and parents. Some children had more than one uniformed shopping mentor. The police officers and firefighters helped the children budget for special treasures as they spent a $100 allowance. This is the first time we have had a strong group of our firefighters with us, said Fitzgerald, spokesman for the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department. Fifty Texas-side children participated in the Christmas shopping spree. The kids were accompanied by an even greater number of authorities from the TTPD, the TTFD, the Nash Police Department, the Texarkana Independent School District Police Department, the Nash Fire Department and the Texarkana, Ark., Police Department, Fitzgerald said.

THE CORNER CUBE: Your responses to the idea of a Lashley heel turn
They have Lashley's timeline ending with December 2007. So, let's just assume Lashley is dropping by the Raw 15-year anniversary show for his big return. With the balance on the Raw roster shifting toward the babyface side (always pending a Triple H heel turn), I would advocate Lashley coming back as a heel to tip the scale. The storyline is quite simple. No one sent a Get Well card to his hospital room. No one called to check on him. No one seemed to give him a second thought. Now, Lashley is going to give the fans a healthy dose of beat downs on their favorites like Jeff Hardy and Shawn Michaels to teach them a lesson. After all, Lashley was starting to get the anti-babyface resentment from audiences leading up to his injury. What about you - how should Lashley return from injury? Agree or disagree with me? Drop your thoughts in the Corner Cube inbox.
Unversity Place litigation settled
District 1s state legislators thats Sen. Shawn Keough and Reps. Eric Anderson and George Eskridge have won the Regence BlueShield of Idaho Move It challenge beating out lawmakers from every other district by walking 1.2 million steps between Feb. 1 and March 15, and winning cash for their local schools. The three lawmakers decided to ante up an extra $500 to add to their $1,500 prize, so theyll be able to give each of the four high schools in their district Clark Fork, Sandpoint, Priest River and Bonners Ferry $500 apiece. Anderson said during the contest, whenever a lobbyist tried to collar him for a chat, he suggested talking while walking and did laps around the Capitol rotunda. All three also filled their time while they waited at the Boise Airport for weekend flights home by walking all around the airport.
